Research and innovation

SKC works with primary care on prevention of organ failure.

However, kidney transplantation is always the first option explored to replace the failing kidney.Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) and SKC provide transplants to patients more than any other unit in the UAE.Transplantation surgery is performed mostly in Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) by a dedicated transplant team.If kidney transplantation is not an immediate choice, then all modalities of dialysis including in-center hemodialysis will be offered to the patient. Our dialysis machines are connected to the electronic medical record to monitor all patients in real-time, computer analytics to guarantee that our highly experienced physicians obtain a complete and accurate picture of the patient’s case.No other service in the UAE provides this level and quality kidney care for all kidney problems to ensure patients receive the best care available.
